Something for every member of the family...whether it's golf, hiking, fishing, swimming, or just lying around on our sandy beach, there's plenty to do at Driftwood Resort. Golf  The NORSKE Course started in 1971 with seven holes carved out of our woods. Two years later we completed the entire nine holes. It has bent grass greens, a few bunkers, sand traps and two tee offs for every hole. The fairways are watered and some areas are planted with beautiful wildflowers to add a bit of color to the whole scene. The course is free to registered guests.

Swimming  Our two heated pools are the center of activity on most days at Driftwood. Adults and older children enjoy the full size pool, while toddlers practice their first strokes in the wading pool, which has a maximum depth of about 18 inches. Once or twice a week the big pool hosts hotly contested water volleyball games.

Fishing  Here on Whitefish Chain we have some of the finest fishing. The season opens the middle of May. If you really want to catch fish, come up the end of May through the end of June. Northern and bass spawn in the two lagoons on the resort so you don't have to travel far. And there's plenty of good pan fishing right out from the resort. Our Whitefish Chain of Lakes, famous for its lunker walleye, has been stocked with over 374,000 walleye fingerling in the last few years. These fingerling have been reared in our local controlled ponds. Millions of walleye fry have been stocked too. This has been a cooperative effort on the part of the DNR and our local fishing committee, of which Ted is a member. More information on Fishing and Boat Rentals.

Water Sports  Who says water-skiing is the last word in watersports? Just ask anyone who has ever ridden our Sea Sled. More fun than just about anything we know! The Sea Sled is pulled by our speedboat, and riders quickly learn how to lean with the turns to avoid getting dunked. Even so, the boat driver usually manages to put everyone in the drink before the ride is over. Rowboats, canoes, kayaks and Fun Bugs are free to all guests. We have one 24' pontoon available for rent by the half-day or day. Our 15 h.p. motors may be rented by the half-day, day, or week. More information on Boat Rentals.

Pony Rides  Our most popular activity! Pony rides are available for our younger guests every day at 10 AM. Also available are a selection of horse-drawn conveyances. Every Morning at 10!
